Marcus has worked on a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters drawing on his experience in the life sciences industry.
Marcus is an associate in the Intellectual Property & Technology group, based in Singapore.
He has been involved in IP litigation including trade mark oppositions and patent revocations, and IP enforcement work with experience in private prosecutions against intellectual property infringers. In addition, he has also been involved in a variety of non-contentious matters including general advisory work on healthcare regulations and IP issues, and the review of IP contracts.
Before graduating from the Singapore Management University Juris Doctor Programme, Marcus worked at the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research ("A*STAR") for five years where he acquired significant experience in IP portfolio management and scientific research in the field of life sciences.
Marcus received his undergraduate Bachelor of Biotechnology degree, majoring in Drug Design and Development from the University of Queensland, Australia. He has also obtained the Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law from the National University of Singapore.
He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2017, after completing his training contract with the firm.
