Malte is a German and European Patent and Trademark Attorney in our Intellectual Property Group, based in Hamburg.
He advises and represents clients in Intellectual Property matters concerning patents and utility models in the context of patent prosecution, oppositions, nullity proceedings, infringement proceedings and and expert opinions. His technical expertise includes the fields of electrical and mechanical engineering and electronics.
Malte was trained to practice as a patent attorney at a renowned patent law firm in Hamburg, the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent Court and the Higher Regional Court in Duesseldorf. During his traineeship he conducted an internship in the IP department of a large European aircraft manufacturer. Before joining us, Malte worked as patent attorney at a renowned patent law firm in Hamburg.
Malte graduated with a degree in Physics from the University of Heidelberg in 2007. During his PhD he conducted research in Medical Physics at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), Stanford University and Yale University. He was awarded his doctoral degree in 2011.
He is author and co-author of several scientific publications.
Malte is a member of FICPI, epi, the German Patent Attorney Chamber and the German Physical Society. He speaks German and English.
