I'm a London-based commercial lawyer specialising in aviation & defence and projects work and I'm a partner here in Bird & Bird's Commercial group. I work with clients to help them find solutions to their commercial challenges.

I act for international defence and aerospace companies, airlines, aircraft manufacturers and other businesses in the aviation and defence industry on the full range of commercial issues, from high value, high profile projects to business-as-usual arrangements. I provide advice and support to businesses on areas such as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) arrangements, franchise agreements, fuelling arrangements and ground handling agreements. I also spearhead Bird & Bird's Travel Group and I regularly speak at aviation conferences including in relation to drones/UAVs. I have an interest in how technology and data is driving growth and changing the sector.

I have a wealth of experience with Government procurement projects on both buy and sell side, in the aerospace and defence sector and across other sectors such as health. I advise on bids, technology projects, complex contracting structures, collaboration arrangements and single source defence contracting.

In energy, my experience spans the entire project lifecycle from design and build to operation and offtake. I advise developers and funders on solar developments, hydro, wind and AD projects; and electric vehicle projects. I have also been involved in several nuclear projects.

After spending a few years in industry at BAE Systems plc, I joined Bird & Bird in October 2011, having previously worked for another large firm as a corporate and commercial projects lawyer.
