Lucy is a commercial lawyer with a particular focus on the Aviation & Defence and Energy sectors. She is an associate in our Commercial Group and is based in London.
Lucy has an in-depth understanding of large-scale projects and regularly advises on complex contracting structures. Lucy acts for international defence and aerospace companies, airlines and aircraft manufacturers on a range of commercial contracts and issues which are often high profile and high value.
Lucy's defence experience includes advising Airbus Military on its concession contract for the A400M aircraft training, Bristow Helicopters on its successful bid for the UK Search and Rescue contract, Airbus Helicopters on its successful bid for the rotary wing UKMFTS training package, and Leidos Inc on its successful bid for the MoD's Logistics, Commodities & Services Transformation contract.
Lucy regularly advises airlines on both their day-to-day business contracts and their more strategic long term projects; she advises fuel operators on their operation and maintenance contracts; and advises and supports airlines and lessors on their maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agreements.
In the Energy sector Lucy's experience spans all stages of a project, from design and build, through to operation and offtake. She advises developers and funders on solar developments in the UK and the Middle East; hydro, wind and AD projects in the UK; and electric vehicle projects also in the UK and the Middle East. Lucy has advised on several nuclear projects including the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority's transfer of the management and operation of the Sellafield plant to the private sector.
Lucy joined us in October 2011 after spending a few years in industry at BAE Systems plc. Prior to that, she worked for another City firm as a corporate and commercial projects lawyer.
