I advise clients in creative industries on a range of IP issues across the life cycle of IP rights. I specialise in soft IP, with a particular emphasis on design, trade marks, copyright and trade secrets. I have acted in a number of significant disputes in the Intellectual Property and Enterprise Court, High Court and in proceedings before the UKIPO, EUIPO and General Court. Many of these disputes have included multi-jurisdictional and multi-forum aspects. In addition to litigation, my practice includes brand protection strategies and enforcement, clearance on both product design and marketing campaigns, drafting of IP rich agreements and advising on ownership issues. My experience has often involved the removal and neutralisation of infringing or defamatory online content. I have also assisted clients with the use of tech based solutions to monitor their brands worldwide. Having previously worked as a music publisher, and having spent time working in-house at a major fashion and technology company, much of my work has been within the fashion, retail, technology and entertainment sectors. From this practical experience, I have a gained an insight into these exciting industries and the internal challenges of working within complex, fast-paced organisations. This enables me to better deliver pragmatic and timely advice to clients to achieve their objectives.
