I have represented clients in proceedings at all levels of the Singapore Courts on diverse IP issues including copyright, patent and trade mark infringement, passing off, malicious falsehoods and domain name disputes. A significant number of my litigation matters have been reported and some have contributed to the IP jurisprudence in Singapore. Most recently, I have been involved in cases concerning the nascent Singapore patent-linkage regulatory regime. These cases have been closely watched due to its potential to shape and clarify this area of law particularly because it directly impacts pharmaceutical patent proprietors and generics in their product marketing approvals in Singapore. At the same time, I regularly assist clients who are navigating through this regulatory landscape. While my practice in contentious IP work continues to grow, I also work on non-contentious matters ranging from local to more complex international IP protection strategies, brand management and IP commercialisation. I represent a broad range of clients and particularly, wellness, luxury hospitality and pharmaceutical clients. I have a keen interest in learning about businesses and the unique issues in the retail and consumer sector, and I am an active member in growing the firm's wellness sector legal know-how and offering. My aim is to continually learn so as to leverage on my experience and knowledge to assist clients in achieving their commercial business objectives. Before joining Bird & Bird in 2014, I spent five years at a leading local law firm, where I gained valuable professional exposure and training.
