I am an associate in our Intellectual Property Group in Sydney. I regularly advise on intellectual property issues and have extensive experience with the resolution of intellectual property and general commercial disputes (including disputes in relation to copyright, contract, consumer law, debt, insolvency, patent and tort).

I work, together with other members of our Intellectual Property Group, to resolve complex intellectual property and general commercial disputes. This often involves appearing or working on matters before various Australian courts and tribunals, such as the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, the Supreme Court of NSW, and the Federal Court of Australia.

My practice spans a number of the firm’s key sectors. Recently, I have worked on matters in the retail & consumer, energy & utilities, and media, entertainment & sport sectors. Notably, over the past year, I have advised on numerous high-quantum solar energy disputes, and assisted with the conduct of the quantum phase of a copyright dispute in relation to industrial software and the conduct of several high-quantum insolvency disputes.

My work regularly involves the preparation of advice and court documents, therefore I have extensive experience in legal research, drafting, and case management. However, I also have extensive involvement in the provision of big-picture strategic advice, and I have a deep appreciation of our corporate clients’ commercial and costs-related needs.

Relatedly, I have been on secondment to a major corporate client in the consumer electronics space, where I assisted with a major discovery task and also assisted with the review of marketing materials, warranty documentation and non-disclosure agreements.
