He specialises in advising on UK and international projects in the energy and utilities sector and is a member of our International Energy & Utilities Sector Group.
Levent regularly advises clients on distributed generation projects (including solar PV, CHP, anaerobic digestion, biomass and wind), energy efficiency projects, concession arrangements (including district heating, cooling and private wire electricity networks), utility supply arrangements and climate change matters . In addition, Levent provides focused regultory advice to clients in this highly regulated sector.
Levent provides strategic advice to clients in these areas at all stages of a project. This involves advising on optimal corporate and contractual structures and advising on all commercial agreements relevant to these projects including EPC contracts, O&M contracts, concession agreements, development agreements, energy performance contracts, PPAs, connection agreements and offtake arrangements with third parties.
His clients are fund managers, investors, property developers (residential and commercial), industrial, commercial and retail consumers, contractors, energy services companies, central government departments and start-up companies seeking to break into competitive markets.
