As a senior associate in our International HR Services group in Sydney, I advise on issues in employment and industrial law for clients in sectors such as Retail and Consumer, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Childcare and Professional Services.
With experience in a range of employment and industrial law areas, including advising on and undertaking workplace investigations, I also negotiate, draft and advise on key employment documents such as contracts of employment, executive employment arrangements, secondment agreements, service agreements and workplace policies.
I also work on the employment aspects of commercial and transactional issues including mergers and acquisitions, share sale arrangements, corporate restructures, transfer of business and transfer of employment situations. In addition, I advise on the termination of employment arrangements, including unfair dismissal and adverse action claims, as well as the protection of confidential information and trade secrets.
I liaise closely with the employment teams in our offices world-wide and in particular in the AsiaPac region to provide cross-border and multi-jurisdictional advice where required.
My approach to advising clients on compliance with employment laws, always takes a commercial and client focused approach. I have experience in developing and delivering internal and external training programmes on a range of employment matters from sexual harassment to managing ill and injured workers.
Before joining Bird & Bird in 2014, I advised and acted for clients in private practice and for employer organisations.
