Laura advises on a wide range of disputes particularly in the Media, Entertainment and Sport sector.
Laura is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution and Media, Entertainment and Sport group, based in London.
She has advised on numerous disputes including a financial services dispute in the High Court (Financial List), international arbitrations, various multi-jurisdictional disputes involving the overseas enforcement of judgments and settlement meetings. She was seconded to The FA for three months where she assisted the in-house legal team with a variety of matters (both contentious and non-contentious), including protecting the brand's intellectual property rights and drafting employment contracts and rules of the game.
As part of her training contract, Laura also sat in our Commercial, Sport and Intellectual Property departments in London and our Competition & EU Law department in Brussels.
Before studying law, Laura read Arabic Cultural Studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. She then went on to study the GDL at the University of Law and LPC at Kaplan Law School leading to an LLB from Nottingham Trent University.
Laura is an active member of our Media, Entertainment and Sport group as an editor and contributor to www.MediaWrites.law, a publication by our MES Group, offering expert perspectives on current media law issues worldwide. She is also an organiser of our MES Mentoring Network for which she designed an app which is available on both Android and iPhone.
