I am a senior associate in Bird & Bird's International Tax Group, based in London. I strive to provide clear and concise advice to help clients understand what can often be a complex area of the law.

I advise our clients on a wide range of tax matters including multi-jurisdictional tax planning, the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, reconstructions and joint ventures. I also advise on establishment and cross border issues, IP and property holding structures as well as the SDLT and VAT implications of property transactions. I have acted for a wide variety of clients across the firm, but have a particular focus on acting for clients in the media, entertainment and sport and energy and utilities sectors.

I frequently act for start-ups and have developed a specialism in advising on SEIS, EIS and VCT qualifying fundraisings. I have extensive experience advising both investors and investee companies on structuring and implementing tax efficient investments and reorganisations in this area.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the EIS Association where I am in the Female Leaders in EIS working group.

I joined Bird & Bird in October 2013 having previously worked in the tax practice at a leading City firm where I trained.
