She has been advising clients since 2011, and specialises in collective and individual labour law, as well as employment-related aspects of restructuring.
Her experience focuses on the corporate and employment aspects of the restructuring (reorganisation) process by the employer from the perspective of cost and headcount optimisation (including collective redundancies, non-employment engagement of staff), as well as on employment aspects of transfers of undertakings.
Katarzyna has supported clients in the process of mergers and acquisitions, including performing pre-transaction due diligence analysis in the scope of labour law, advising on relations with employees' representative bodies and post-transaction employment restructuring. She also has extensive experience in employment law cases, including drafting documents governing the employment relationship (e.g. employment contracts and management contracts, termination documents, non-compete and NDA agreements, and internal employer's by-laws).
Before joining Bird & Bird, Katarzyna gained her professional experience working in renowned international law firms. She is also the author and co-author of several professional press publications on labour law.
She graduated from the Law Faculty of Warsaw University, and was also an Erasmus student at the University of Regensburg (Germany).
Katarzyna is a fully qualified attorney-at-law and member of the Warsaw Bar Association since 2015.
