An employment law expert with wide experience in unfair competition and in corruption related crimes
Karolina is Counsel and head of our Polish Employment Practice, based in Warsaw office where she is also the main contact for trade secrets.
Karolina has been advising clients since 2005. She is an experienced employment law expert and also specialises in litigation, including civil and criminal cases involving corruption and trade secrets.
Karolina advises clients on the full spectrum of cases connected with employment law, including implementation of codes of conduct, whistleblowing polices and anti-corruption procedures, and has conducted training in this field. Karolina also support clients in developing internal policies and strategies to protect trade secrets and combat unfair competition practices, including review of internal corporate documentation and technical measures, and drafting non-disclosure and non-compete agreements.
She has represented both domestic and international corporations in running internal investigations relating to unfair practices at all levels of organisation vis-à-vis domestic and international standards, including the Polish Act on Combating Unfair Competition. In several cases, as a consequence, she supported clients in planning and running proceedings against their employees or business partners, in civil, labour and criminal cases.
Having training and experience in IP, Karolina is able to address all trade secrets related issues and support clients with related strategic planning.
She is a consultant of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Cooperation Fund Foundation, a legal expert to the Polish Chamber of Commerce, and an OLAF expert for negotiated settlements.
Karolina is a graduate from the University of Warsaw, faculty of Law and Administration. She completed post-graduate studies in copyrights, unfair competition and press law at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. She also studied at the University of Federico II, Naples (Italy).
She works in Polish, English and Italian.
