As an associate and member of our Employment Group in Helsinki, I specialise in a broad range of employment law issues, advising our domestic and international clients.
I have experience in handling matters in a variety of areas of employment law including employment and director agreements, employee incentives and benefits, data protection in the employment relationship, business immigration, and employment aspects of transactions as well as redundancy and termination issues.
However, my particular focus is on employment litigation, including matters relating to termination of employment, discrimination as well as labour offences. Recently, I have also assisted clients in disputes concerning restrictive covenants as well as in criminal proceedings concerning trade secrets.
In recent years, my professional experience has been enhanced by undertaking a half year secondment as legal counsel for an international technology company. During this time, I gained a valuable insight into the requirements of our clients and the technology sector.
In addition to technology sector clients, I regularly assist a number of employers in the healthcare, finance, manufacturing and construction sectors.
Before joining Bird & Bird, I worked in a trade union confederation which has given me in-depth understanding of the trade union matters and collective labour law.
