I'm a senior associate in Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property team, based in Madrid, with deep knowledge in IP disputes and strategy. My expertise focuses on litigation matters as well as other clients' needs in the field.
When I joined the firm, my work was mainly focused on brand management, custom matters and anti-counterfeiting as well as providing support to senior members of the team in various cases.
Currently I am in charge of complex litigation cases on patents, trademarks, unfair competition, etc. Likewise, on the non-contentious side, I lead transactional work, general advice and global strategy.
Nevertheless, I have not lost touch and am still involved and up to date with the wide range of minor IP issues that may be involved in the cases analysed. I really think that this allows me to have a clear overview of all the legal implications that may have an impact on a particular case.
My practice covers all IP-related matters: litigation on patents, trademarks, designs, unfair competition, advertising, copyrights and commercial disputes. Also I provide legal assistance in other non-contentious matters such as trademark portfolio management (trademark applications, oppositions, appeals, etc), negotiation, agreements and licenses, know-how, etc.
Likewise, I have taken part in the most complex and challenging cases of our IP group, including multi-jurisdictional cases working with other Bird & Bird offices, which has helped me to have a global vision of all our practices, both at a national and international level.
Working in an international firm which works as a single team provides clear added value to its professionals and impacts the way we liaise with clients when they face cross-border cases. Thanks to the above, I have been able to build comprehensive expertise and a wider perspective when facing every new case, which is highly valued by clients.
