I am an associate in Bird & Bird's Intellectual Property Department, based in London. I have experience advising on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious trade mark issues for high-profile clients in various sectors.

I have a particular focus on brand management and trade mark disputes. I have advised on cases before a number of different UK and EU Courts and trade mark registries, including acting as lead associate for Sky on the case of Starbucks v Sky before the UK Supreme Court, which is the leading case on the issue of goodwill/reputation in the context of passing off. I also recently attended a Hearing before the EU General Court in Luxembourg on a trade mark cancellation dispute.

In addition, my experience includes managing the UK trade mark portfolios of a large US entertainment company and one of the US's top television networks respectively. I have also managed a number of global trade mark clearance and filing programmes.

I regularly give training sessions to clients on trade mark related issues. In 2015, I completed a secondment to Sky's Intellectual Property legal team, where I gained valuable experience of working in-house and increased my awareness of how to give client-friendly advice.
