Johan Ingerslev

I'm an M&A lawyer in our Corporate group in Denmark acting for tech start-ups and building out Bird & Bird's automated legal services for start-ups.

I specialise in corporate law and M&A and I have been a part of some of the largest transactions in Denmark, as well as advised numerous tech start-ups and investors in start-ups on a broad range of issues concerning investments, corporate matters, warrant-programmes etc. Aside from my expertise in corporate law and M&A, I also have an overall understanding of most legal areas relevant to start-ups, both from my previous experience as an adviser and founder, and from my position as an associate lecturer at University of Copenhagen's Law School teaching the course 'The entrepreneurs' legal challenges'. I am a keen student of start-up literature, blogs and sites which enables me to both take into account and discuss more commercial matters relating to start-ups.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2018, I was a LegalTech entrepreneur. When advising clients, I am driven by delivering value for clients as a legal and commercial sparring partner utilising my experience as an entrepreneur to understand the client's position and to leverage technology to improve the delivery of legal services.

I have a great interest and flair for IT in general and specifically in a LegalTech context where I am responsible for building out Bird & Bird's tech startup-focused automated legal services. To improve my capabilities in LegalTech, I am studying part-time for a master of IT-management at the IT-University of Copenhagen.
