Jean-Jacques advises clients on their financing, refinancing and other activities including in Central and Western Africa.

Jean-Jacques is the lead partner of our French Banking & Finance Group, based in Paris. He is in charge of developing our presence in Africa internationally and expanding our client base in that region by managing the firm’s Africa Desk.

He has over 24 years' experience of advising French and international banks and other financial institutions, as well as major non-financial clients, on matters involving lending, financing and refinancing, restructuring, banking and financial market regulation and investment fund work. He also advises financial institutions and funds on their financing, refinancing and other activities including in Central and Western Africa.

A significant part of his experience also includes fund structuring and formation, as well as the creation, reorganisation and merger of banking and financial institutions. He also has been involved in compliance matters, including proceedings before the French Prudential Supervisory Authority and the French Financial Market Authority.

An expert in Africa, Jean-Jacques has recently advised the World Bank and OHADA (Organization for the Harmonization in Africa of Business Law) on a variety of matters related to OHADA law.

He holds a PhD in Law from the University of Montpelier and Masters in Business Law from Université Lyon 3 - Jean Moulin. Jean-Jacques was admitted to the Paris bar in 1993.

He speaks French and English.
