As an associate in our Intellectual Property and Tech & Comms teams in Brussels, I offer a pragmatic approach to challenging situations and a deep understanding of information technology and commercial law.

I advise clients in a wide range of legal areas including information technology law, commercial law with a particular focus on contracts and market practices, privacy & data protection and copyright. I assist clients with information and technology related-matters such as big data, cloud computing, IT contracts, the Internet of Things, cybersecurity, digital marketing, cookies and electronic signatures and have assisted two major companies with their GDPR compliance project. During a two-month in-house secondment, I assisted a multinational technology company with a large variety of commercial matters.

After graduating from KU Leuven in 2015, I went on to obtain an additional Master's degree in Space Studies. I was admitted to the Brussels Bar in 2016. Prior to joining Bird & Bird in 2018, I worked as an associate at a major Dutch-headquartered law firm.

I am originally Dutch, but I am also fluent in English and French and have a good understanding of both German and Spanish.
