George has experience of a range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters.
George is an associate in our Intellectual Property Group based in London.
He has been involved in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, principally concerning patents, trade marks, and licensing agreements. He has worked with clients across a variety of industries including financial services, IT and telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.
His litigation experience has involved proceedings in the Patents Court and the UK Intellectual Property Office, in addition to an international arbitration for a world-leading technology company. George has recently been involved in an expedited High Court patent trial relating to transdermal patches used for pain relief.
In 2015, George was seconded to our Brussels office for six months where he obtained experience of competition and EU law.
George has contributed to various legal publications including the Journal of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys (CIPA) and our "BrandWrites" and "MediaWrites" publications.
Before training to become a solicitor, George obtained a MEng degree in biomedical engineering from Imperial College London. As part of his thesis he designed, built, and tested microelectrode biosensors for monitoring brain metabolism. Due to his background, George has a particular interest in the life sciences sector.
