Gábor advises on complex Hungarian and international transactions, and specialises in capital markets and banking
Gábor is a Senior Associate in our Corporate, Capital Markets and Banking & Finance practices, based in Budapest. He has over 20 years of experience specialising in capital markets and banking & finance, as well as mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters. He regularly advises Hungarian and international companies on complex transactions.
Gábor has been recognised by prestigious legal research guides such as The Legal 500 and Chambers Europe. His work in the Budapest office’s “well-regarded capital markets team” has been highlighted by The Legal 500, and he has been recommended for his “excellent knowledge and commitment” by Chambers Europe.
He has represented a wide range of Hungarian and international clients across his main practice areas, including advising on major bond programmes, accelerated book building and privatisations, public offerings, private placements, public takeovers, licensing procedures, stock option programs, derivative transactions, disclosure obligations and insider trading issues. He has advised on a number of significant matters, including regulations relating to bank takeovers, bank transformation procedures, establishment and operational licensing procedures and compliance with government and regulatory bodies.
Gábor has written several law review articles regarding various areas of Hungarian business law, in particular with respect to corporate law and securities law matters as well as security instruments. He has also been published in international publications.
Gábor worked for other Hungarian and international law firms prior to joining us. He holds a degree from both the Central European University in 2000 and Eötvös Loránd University in 1995, in Hungary. Gábor is a member of the Budapest Bar.
Gábor is fluent in English in addition to his native Hungarian.
