Frederik particularly focuses on supporting Chinese investors in their operations in Germany and international companies in their activities in China.
Frederik is a member of our Commercial practice group, based in our Düsseldorf office. He is also a member of China Desk Germany.
He advises German and international clients on their national and cross-border investments, on distributional, contractual as well as corporate issues including standard contracts (B2B, B2C, B2P). He gives advice on the structuring of new and the restructuring of existing distribution systems, drafts and negotiates high-volume project contracts and, if needed, enforces his clients' interests before state and arbitration courts.
Before joining us in 2013, he worked as an associate for the China desk of a US-law firm in Frankfurt with a focus on M&A matters and also in our Beijing office.
Frederik studied at the Universities of Bonn and Lausanne (Switzerland) and the East China University of Political Science and Law in Shanghai (China). He also holds a Master of Law in International Business Law from the National University of Singapore. He wrote his PhD thesis at the University of Sydney (Australia).
Frederik negotiates in German and English and speaks Chinese.
