Francesca has a strong international background and she is appreciated for her enthusiastic commitment and her determination in achieving her goals.

Francesca is an associate in our Intellectual Property Groups, based in Rome. She is also a member of our Retail & Consumer Sector and Life Sciences Sector Groups.

Francesca advises companies from different sectors, including Food & Beverage, Chemicals and Cosmetics, on regulatory requirements for innovative products.

General food law, labeling requirements including health and nutrition claims and food advertising are some of the issues on which she advises our Food & Beverage clients. In addition she supports clients during the market placement of highly innovative products, such as novel foods, food supplements and nutraceuticals. She is also gaining a reputation as edible insects' legislation expert, advising food and feed companies.

Francesca graduated cum laude from Università Cattolica (Piacenza) in 2009, and she received her Ph.D. in Agrisystem in 2014. She has been a visiting researcher at the Institute for European Tort Law (Vienna) and collaborated with the Department of Food Business and Development at the University College of Cork in Ireland.

Prior to joining us, Francesca worked at Jones Day in Brussels. She regularly speaks at conferences and seminars and also writes in national and international reviews.

Francesca works in English and Italian.
