Felix is a patent attorney with in-depth knowledge in the fields of electronics, physics and engineering.
Felix is a German and European Patent attorney and partner in our international Intellectual Property group based in Hamburg.
With significant experience in national and European patent law including prosecution and opposition and opposition appeal proceedings at the European Patent Office and the German Patent and Trademark Office as well as nullity proceedings at the German Federal Patent Court and the German Supreme Court, Felix also advises on infringement proceedings before German patent infringement courts. He regularly advises large international companies on general electronics and mechanical engineering issues. His main technical fields involve telecommunications and computer technology, aviation engineering, power tool technology as well as medical engineering.
He has a PhD in physics from the University of Göttingen, and before getting into the patent field he worked for BASF AG.
Felix is co-author of the books Haedicke/Timmann (Ed.), "Handbuch des Patentrechts", Carl Heymanns, Cologne/Munich, 2012 and Haedicke/Timmann (Ed.), "Patent Law", C.H. Beck/Hart/Nomos, Munich/Oxford/Baden-Baden, 2014, for both of which he contributed several sections of chapter 5 (grant procedure, opposition proceedings, appeal proceedings, nullity proceedings, limitation and revocation proceedings, lapse without retroactive effect).
Felix is a member of FICPI, GRUR, DPG, EPI, VPP, AIPPI and the Association of German Patent Attorneys.
He speaks German and English.
