Felicity is a leading sports and marketing lawyer with a wealth of experience in media and marketing rights, sponsorship, advertising and merchandising.
Felicity is partner in the Commercial Department in London. She is a member of our Sports and Media Groups. Her practice is focused primarily on providing commercial advice to clients in the communications, technology, sports and media sectors. Within these sectors she advises extensively on the acquisition and exploitation of IP based rights including media and marketing rights, sponsorship, merchandising, and publishing.
Felicity is recognised in the elite band of commercial sports lawyers, having advised clients in the sports sector for over 15 years. Felicity has worked on a number of high profile and frequently cutting-edge corporate and commercial projects in football, tennis, rugby, and motor racing. Her experience includes the sale and purchase of sports-related rights and businesses, event staging, venue build, finance and hire arrangements, media and marketing rights work, licensing and supply agreements, and advising on gaming and betting.
Felicity also advises clients on the advertising and marketing activities: advising on the planning and implementation of new campaigns and representing clients in relation to complaints made by or against them to the Advertising Standard Authority.
Felicity is a former member of the Times Law Panel. She is a regular speaker on topics relating to the commercial exploitation of intellectual property rights, sports sponsorship and the media. She is a contributor to the Third Edition of Bird & Bird’s Internet Law and Regulation.
