As a sports and marketing lawyer with a wealth of experience in media and marketing rights, sponsorship, advertising and merchandising, I'm a partner with our Commercial team in London, and a member of our Sports and Media groups.
My practice focuses on providing commercial advice to our clients in communications, technology, sports and media, such as the acquisition and exploitation of IP based rights - including media and marketing rights – as well as sponsorship, merchandising and publishing.
In sport, where I have advised clients for over 15 years, I've worked on a number of high profile, leading-edge corporate and commercial projects in football, tennis, rugby and motor racing. My experience spans the sale and purchase of sports-related rights and businesses, event staging, venue build, finance and hire, media and marketing rights, licensing and supply agreements, and advising on gaming and betting.
I also advise our clients on advertising and marketing, from the planning and implementation of new campaigns to representing them in complaints made by or against them to the Advertising Standards Authority.
As a regular speaker on IP rights, sports sponsorship and the media, I'm also a contributor to the Third Edition of Bird & Bird's 'Internet Law and Regulation' and a former member of the Times Law Panel.
