She has been involved in a broad range of both contentious and transactional IP matters in relation to patents, trade marks, design rights and copyright.
Her practice focuses primarily on non-contentious and regulatory matters in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors. Examples of her work include leading on the provision of broad regulatory advice to a client in relation to the licensing, marketing, manufacture and import of medicines in 22 countries. She also has a wealth of expertise with transactional matters involving intellectual property both from her training with us and from her previous career in medical research. Eve's experience also encompasses cross-jurisdictional patent portfolio management and contentious design right matters.
Eve’s experience is strengthened through her secondment in 2016 to a large retailer where she advised on a broad range of issues including advertising, pricing, consumer law and design rights. She also provided IP training to the business and was involved in the reshaping of the company’s brand protection strategy.
Eve graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2000 with a degree in life sciences, and honours in pharmacology. Before converting to law she spent ten years working within research organisations facilitating the development and commercialisation of medical research. She joined us as a trainee in 2015 and qualified in 2017.
