Eric advices his clients on various aspects of energy, regulatory and enviromental law with a particular focus on renewable energy projects.
Eric is an associate in our International Energy & Utilities and Regulatory & Administrative Groups, based in Munich.
He advises German and international clients on energy, regulatory, and environmental law matters as well as commercial and contractual issues. His client base ranges from public bodies, municipal utilities and energy supply companies to (general) contractors and developers as well as project companies.
In addition, Eric has expertise in corporate law, administrative law, municipal law, commercial contracts in REP, in court and out of court settlements including contract drafting, contract negotiations, litigation and court proceedings.
Eric is particularly focused on renewable energy projects, including zoning, planning and construction, the drafting and negotiation of EPC contracts and O&M agreements.
He advises on issues ranging from energy generation to transportation, distribution and trade, but also extending to energy consumption and pricing matters. He also advises on European and national aspects of regulation, grid access, grid connection, grid and concession fees and concession agreements (electricity and gas) as well as on feed-in-tariffs and the development of more state-of-the-art marketing models and auction schemes.
Eric studied law in Wuerzburg, Lausanne (Switzerland), Munich and Berlin. Before joining us, Eric gained four years of experience at a well-known major national law firm specialising in the field of energy law and energy regulation.
He is a regular guest speaker at seminars and conferences on energy law. He has published several articles in business and scholarly journals on the topics of his particular expertise.
