I am a senior associate in our Commercial and Corporate Group in Sydney. My work involves a broad range of experience in commercial transactions, regulatory and advisory work with a particular focus advising clients in the technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sector.

I am passionate about the technology sector because of its constant dynamism and innovation. I regularly work with all kinds of businesses operating in this space, from early-stage start-ups to major multinational brands, with respect to their commercial arrangements and regulatory compliance.

I undertake reviews of both private and government agreements and draft a variety of commercial agreements such as privacy policies, website terms, licensing arrangements and EULAs, confidentiality agreements, IT outsourcing agreements, master services and supply agreements, reseller agreements, white label agreements and SaaS agreements.

Further, I have conducted lengthy contract negotiations, including with large telecommunications providers, financial institutions and utility providers. I also advise clients on their Australian regulatory requirements, with a particular focus in Australian telecommunications, privacy, spam and consumer laws.

I've obtained a particular expertise in advising numerous businesses and start-ups operating in the online services and gig economies, including one of Australia's most successful online marketplace platforms since its inception to its global expansion. I've also spent time working on secondment for a global tech company, as their primary in-house legal counsel for Asia Pacific, which has given me a first-hand, practical experience and insight in resolving the day to day challenges that tech companies can face.

In addition, I have experience in intellectual property matters such as licensing arrangements, trade mark and copyright matters. Also corporate governance experience such as the registration of companies, directors and shareholders, preparing shareholders agreements and ESOPs and assisting in large transactions, such as acquisitions and IPOs conducting due diligence and preparing a prospectus.

I currently volunteer as a pro-bono lawyer with the Arts Law Centre of Australia advising local artists, designers, musicians and writers on their legal rights. I'm also currently a member of the young donors and philanthropy group at the Art Gallery of NSW, that helps raises funds towards acquiring new works and awareness of aboriginal artists.

Prior to being a lawyer, I have extensive commercial and business experience working for a leading Australian fashion retailer in a commercial role, where I handled a large portfolio of Australian and international fashion brands in relation to their supply contracts, marketing campaigns and sales. I also previously worked in a design role for a high-end Australian fashion designer and with a leading fashion magazine including working at Sydney Fashion Week.

I bring all of these commercial and legal experiences, insights and enthusiasm to my work. Whether it’s a drafting a SaaS contract, negotiating a cloud services agreement, advising on Australian privacy law or other regulatory issues faced by online by marketplaces including gig economy issues, I enjoy using my legal skills and expertise to help clients resolve contractual, commercial and regulatory legal issues practically and efficiently.
