Emma has a keen awareness of clients' needs thanks to her past experience in a commercial role
Emma is a senior associate in our Intellectual Property and Commercial practice groups, based in Sydney.
She has a particular focus on the Tech & Comms sector and assists on a range of commercial transactions and advisory work, including trade mark matters and contract work involving both private and government agreements.
Emma undertakes reviews of government tender documentation and assists in drafting commercial agreements for the firm's IT and Communications clients, such as privacy policies, terms and conditions, licence and confidentiality agreements.
In particular, Emma has experience drafting IT outsourcing agreements and online business arrangements for start-ups in the new online services economy.
Emma also has experience in intellectual property matters such as business name, domain name and trade mark searches, applications, registrations, infringements and oppositions and copyright infringement.
Emma also has experience in corporate governance matters, such as registration of company names, directors and shareholders and has assisted on large transactions conducting due diligence and preparation of a prospectus for the acquisition and initial public offering of a company.
In addition, Emma's previous experience included working for a leading Australian fashion retailer in a commercial role where she handled a large portfolio of Australian and international fashion brands in relation to supplier contracts, marketing campaigns and sales advice.
