Elie is a senior associate based in our Frankfurt office. He is a member of both our Real Estate and our Restructuring and Insolvency practice groups.
Elie advises international and domestic clients in various matters relating to German real estate and with regard to the entire life cycle of properties. Elie has particular experience in providing transactional advice for the acquisition, dis-posal, financing, enforcement or management of properties as well as in the field of commercial lease agreements. Elie advises investors, owners, develop-ers, banks and users of properties – acting in various sectors such as financial services or Technology & Communication – in the context of one-time or strate-gic investments, divestments as well as corporate real estate management.
In addition, Elie advises in insolvency law related matters with a specific focus on the support of clients facing the insolvency of business partners. He advises clients on navigating insolvency proceedings, the enforcement of their rights, or the conclusion of transactions with insolvency administrators.
Before joining us in October 2008 Elie studied at the Saarland University, Saar-brücken where he completed the bilingual Franco-German studies and subse-quently obtained a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in international business law at the University of Exeter (UK). During his legal traineeship in Düsseldorf, Elie worked for international law firms and in particular for a law firm specialising in Franco-German commercial relationships.
Elie is both German and French citizen and familiar with the culture and idio-syncrasies of both countries. Elie speaks German, English and French.
