I'm a junior associate in our international Privacy & Data Protection group in Denmark, specialising in data protection and commercial issues with a commitment to always seek a pragmatic solution for our clients.

Since I joined Bird & Bird as a junior associate in 2018, I have advised both Danish and international clients on various aspects of data protection law, including in particular the transparency obligation, international data transfers, data processing agreements, profiling, AI and other similar technologies involving personal data. I have taken part in a number of GDPR compliance projects, including the roll-out of a multinational project in several European countries. Also, I advise our clients on various telecom regulatory issues, most recently on the data retention obligation imposed on Danish telecom providers.

As a junior associate my practice spans over a number of the firm's practice areas and sectors, such as within the retail & consumer and tech & comms sectors. My work over the past year in particular includes commercial issues within telecommunications, IT law, marketing and consumer law, e-commerce, etc. As an adviser, I am committed to provide our clients with commercially useful and effective advice. I strive to find a pragmatic solution for our clients in a straightforward and cost-efficient manner.

Having grown up in America and Denmark, I master both languages fluently and have a general understanding of American and Danish culture.

  • Together with my colleagues Martin von Haller and Julie Bak-Larsen, I am currently representing the Association Against Unlawful Data Retention in a dispute with the Danish Minister of Justice, which maintains the unlawful data retention obligation imposed on Danish telecom providers despite the CJEU's assessment that it infringes the right to privacy and data protection.
