I am a partner in our Intellectual Property Group in Munich.

As a German and European patent attorney I advise on patent litigation proceedings and patent portfolio strategies, including on questions concerning supplementary protection certificates, due diligence and freedom-to-operate opinions and the German Employee Inventions Act.

I have many years of experience in national and international patent litigation and have participated in numerous opposition, appeal and patent nullity proceedings. As a biochemist my area of expertise spans all areas of the life science sector, including pharmaceuticals (such as small compounds and biologics), medical devices, biotechnology, nutraceuticals, crop science and diagnostics.

My experience also extends to the fields of informatics and medical devices which enables me to also handle IP matters concerning interdisciplinary technologies, including AI applications.

Outside my practice, I regularly publish articles on various aspects of patent law.
