Sebastian is an experienced German and European Patent and Trademark Attorney who advises and represents clients in Intellectual Property (IP) matters.
Sebastian is a partner in our Intellectual Property group, based in Munich.
His practice focuses on patent prosecution, opposition, nullity and infringement proceedings as well as on the preparation of patent infringement and validity opinions within the scope of freedom-to-operate and due diligence projects.
His technical focus is on medical devices, chemical compositions, biosimilars, bioengineering, pharmaceuticals, crop science, microbiology and computer implemented inventions.
As an international student, Sebastian received his Bachelor of Science degree from Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY (USA). He then continued his biochemistry studies in Germany at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen. After an one-year study at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) and at the Max Planck Institute in Munich, he completed his biochemistry studies in the field of neurobiology at the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory in Tübingen. Sebastian completed his doctoral thesis in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Marino Zerial at the Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden.
Sebastian is a member of the European Patent Institute (epi) and FICPI and is fluent in English and German.
