Péter has sound experience in commercial matters and he is an expert advisor in the sports sector
Péter is a Senior Associate in our Commercial Group based in Budapest.
Péter has nearly 10 years of extensive experience in commercial matters advising market-leading companies from the IT, telecommunications, media and energy sectors on contracts for work and services, lease and supply agreements, real estate transactions (such as built to suit leases) and e-commerce matters. Further, he has experience in complex international arbitration, corporate housekeeping and acquisitions. He has also supported clients with competition law and public procurement.
Péter also specialises in sports matters. He advises foreign and domestic broadcasters, agencies, sports gear manufacturers, federations, clubs, athletes and agents on sports broadcasting matters, organisation of sporting events, enforcement of rights, marketing, sponsorship, endorsement, cooperation and player contracts, employment agreements, regulatory issues, disciplinary procedures, and day-to-day operations.
He is the co-author of the textbook Sports Law (Budapest 2011) and his articles on sports law are regularly published in prestigious law journals and on prominent websites. Péter is often invited to speak at national and international conferences on sports law, lectures at universities and has acted as the national expert for Hungary in the preparation of EU studies on sports organisers’ rights, as well as on betting-related match fixing.
He graduated from the University of Pécs in 2008 having completed the LL.M. programme at the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he studied German law and sports law in 2008/09.
Péter is a member of the Budapest Bar.
Péter speaks English and German, in addition to his native Hungarian.
