I am a German and European patent attorney in our Intellectual Property Group in Hamburg. As a counsel, I represent national and international companies in all matters concerning patents and utility models. My focus lies on litigating patents in the technology and communication sector.

Over the years I have developed extensive experience in revocation proceedings before the German Federal Patent Court, the German Federal Supreme Court and the European Patent Office as well as in parallel infringement proceedings before the German civil courts. In my capacity as a European patent attorney, I have also handled the validity aspects of patent cases in other European jurisdictions. Most patents I deal with relate to telecommunications, electronics and software, but I am also well-acquainted with the aerospace and defence sector.

In addition to the above fields and patent prosecution, preparing validity and infringement opinions is another core part of my day-to-day business. Based on these opinions, I frequently provide guidance to our clients already during prosecution of patents, allowing them to obtain robust protection of their IP with a relevant scope of protection.

Before joining our firm, I worked at a renowned patent attorney boutique firm based in Hamburg. At the same firm, I received my patent attorney training after graduating with a PhD in Physics from the University of Heidelberg.
