Julia is counsel in our Intellectual Property Group, based in our Hamburg office.
Her practice focuses on trade mark, design, unfair competition and copyright advice and litigation.
Julia studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-University in Münster. Following this, she worked as a research assistant at the institute for tax law of Prof. Dr. Wolffgang in Münster (2005-2007). There she received a PhD (“summa cum laude”). Julia’s doctoral thesis deals with the “The Authorised Economic Operator (AEO)” of the European Community, a foreign trade law topic.
During her legal traineeship Julia worked, i.a., for an international law firm in Düsseldorf in the corporate law department and for the German Consulate General in New York.
Julia joined us in February 2009. She was admitted to the Düsseldorf Bar in March 2009. Julia is a member of the GRUR (German Association for Commercial Property Rights and Copyright Law).
Julia speaks German and English.
