While advising on a wide range of issues in the field of trademark, design and unfair competition law, I focus on legal proceedings concerning infringement, registration or cancellation of trademarks before the courts and the German and European Offices. I have been involved in infringement claims as well as in trademark enforcement and trademark strategy advice, including in the industry sectors of material science, consumer electronics, beverages and financial services. In my practice I work together with clients in various different business positions and from different sectors, from national start-ups to multinational corporations. I am currently acting for a German publicly-traded company from the materials science industry as an external IP counsel in the company's trademark department. This is allowing me to gain insights into a major company's daily business and is helping me to better understand our clients' needs.Spending time studying abroad – in France and the US – has helped me familiarise myself with other legal systems and understand legal issues in an international context. Before joining our firm as an associate in 2019, I worked for other leading international law firms in Düsseldorf in their healthcare and life science, and IP teams during my doctoral studies and my legal traineeship. I also worked for our firm as a trainee in 2018.
