Daniela advises and represents clients in the field of intellectual property law, in particular in the life sciences field. She is a member of the Intellectual Property Group of Bird & Bird in Munich.
She has gained a broad experience in European and German patent law in representing clients for obtaining patents, defending patents against oppositions before the German and European Patent Office and nullity suits before the German Federal Patent Court. In addition, she has vast experience in advising clients and opinion work in the field of patent infringement in the life sciences field and in advising clients on questions of German employee inventors law.
Her technical focus is mainly in the field of organic and pharmaceutical chemistry, but she has also represented clients in various other chemical fields such as the fibre industry and inorganic chemistry.
Daniela was admitted as a German Patent Attorney and European Trademark Attorney in 1998 and as an European Patent Attorney in 1999. She studied chemistry at the University of Munich, obtained her Diploma in Chemistry in 1991 and her Doctorate in Organic Preparative Chemistry in 1995.
She worked with major patent law firms in Munich, Grünecker & Coll. and Isenbruck & Coll. prior to joining Bird & Bird.
Daniela is a member of FICPI, LES, GDCh (Society of German Chemists) and VPP (Association of Intellectual Property Experts). She speaks German, English and Italian.
