Daniela advises and represents clients in the field of intellectual property law, in particular in the life sciences field.
Daniela is a partner in our Intellectual Property practice, based in Munich.
She has gained broad experience in European and German patent law in representing clients for obtaining patents, defending and attacking patents in opposition proceedings before the German and European Patent Office and in nullity suits before the German Federal Patent Court. In addition, she is involved in infringement proceedings together with the litigators of Bird & Bird and her expertise also includes the coordination of proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. She also advises clients on questions of German employee inventors’ law.
Her technical focus is mainly in the field of organic and pharmaceutical chemistry, but she also represents clients in various other chemical fields such as the fibre industry and inorganic chemistry. Additionally, she is active in the field of medical devices.
Daniela was admitted as a German Patent Attorney and European Trademark Attorney in 1998 and as a European Patent Attorney in 1999. She studied chemistry at the University of Munich, obtained her Diploma in Chemistry in 1991 and her Doctorate in Organic Preparative Chemistry in 1995.
Daniela is a member of FICPI and VPP (Association of Intellectual Property Experts). She speaks German, English and Italian.
