As a member of our German Intellectual Property Group, I specialise in national and international patent infringement and (co-)ownership disputes and advise our clients in all areas of IP protection as well as copyright law, having extensive experience in the law of collecting societies. My practice also covers the protection of know-how and trade secrets, where I advise not only on judicial enforcement, but also on the contractual and strategic safeguarding of entrepreneurial know-how. I also provide IP-related advice within corporate transactions and IP-focused contractual consulting.

Before joining our firm, I gained several years of experience in the field of collecting societies while working at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, the government supervision of collecting societies in Germany. My activities also included the admission and bar regulations of German patent attorneys and other European representatives before the German Patent and Trade Mark Office. Moreover, I was involved in the implementation of various European legislations into German IP law, such as the Directive on collective management of copyright and related rights, the Directive on the recognition of professional qualifications and the General Data Protection Regulation.

Prior to my work at the German Patent and Trade Mark Office, I was the editor of a law journal on copyright at the Institute for Copyright and Media Law in Munich.
