Delicia's PhD in neuroscience and experience as a post-doctoral scientist give her expert insight into life sciences and biotechnology matters.
Delicia is an Associate in our Intellectual Property Group based in London.
She has been involved in a broad range of both contentious and transactional IP matters in relation to patents, trademarks, passing off and copyright.
Her practice focuses primarily on patent litigation in the life sciences and biotechnology sectors. She has acted for international pharmaceutical companies involved in patent validity and infringement disputes at the High Court and the Court of Appeal. She also has experience in cross-jurisdictional patent portfolio management and IP licensing. She has a developing regulatory practice focusing on product compliance and liability issues across multiple sectors, specialising in consumer goods, food supplements, food and beverages, healthcare and medicinal products.
Delicia holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Cambridge University, and a BSc (Hons) in Physiology with Pharmacology from the University of Southampton. Before converting to law she worked as a post-doctoral scientist at the Babraham Institute (Cambridge), specialising in developmental neuroscience and reproduction.
Delicia joined us as a trainee in 2015 and qualified in 2017. She was recently seconded to the legal department of a major telecommunications company, advising on marketing, advertising and consumer law issues, as well as brand protection.
