Debora leads the data protection practice in Italy.
She is a qualified lawyer, who has advised on data protection and IT issues since 1997 and provides legal assistance to leading Italian and international companies on local and international projects.
Her most recent experience includes advising on the development of pan-European/worldwide CRM projects; compliance projects in multiple jurisdictions; sensitive data protection projects; data protection related issues connected to cloud computing projects; drafting documentation for compliance with local data protection legislation; assisting pharmaceutical and life science companies in data protection issues; implementing data retention obligations for IT providers and telecoms companies; drafting data protection policies; assisting clients on notification with the Garante and transborder data flows; staff training; assistance on sales of databases; purchase/license of customer data and data sharing agreements; consumer complaints/offences and liaison with the Garante.
She regularly advises multinational companies on commercial agreements related to the information technology sector, such as licensing, distribution, outsourcing and cloud computing issues and on Internet contracts.
Prior to joining us in 2003, she worked as commercial and data protection lawyer in the Milan offices of major international law firms.
She is a member of IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals) and contributes to international reviews and is the (co-) author of publications including the Italian section of “E-Commerce Law in Europe and the USA”, Debora is a regular speaker at roundtables on data protection.
