David appreciates the business needs of clients and tailors his advice to the requirements of each client
David is a senior associate in our Intellectual Property law and EU & Competition law groups, based in Stockholm.
A commercial lawyer, David has considerable experience of advising clients on a broad range of Intellectual Property law issues, including infringement actions, licensing and strategic advice. In the area of Competition law, David has represented clients both before the European Commission and the Swedish Competition Authority, acting both for complainants and alleged infringers.
Having advised clients on a wide range of non-contentious contractual matters, David is well experienced in advising on the drafting and negotiation of contractual structures and set-ups, including the structuring of licensing deals, distribution, cooperation and IT contracts. David has particular experience of advising clients in sectors such as life science, media and food and beverages.
David was seconded to the in-house legal department of a major IT service provider, where he advised the business close hand on all kinds of commercial law issues, including on customer and partnership agreements.
He graduated with a Swedish law degree from the University of Lund in 2006, and holds an LL.M from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He participates as guest lecturer at the University of Lund teaching specialised seminars on Competition and Intellectual Property law with a focus on innovation industries.
Prior to joining us in October 2009, David was an associate at another international law firm in Brussels, where he advised on a broad range of EU law and transactional issues.
David is fluent in Swedish, English and German.
