David has experience in a wide range of intellectual property matters with a particular focus on the technology & communications and energy & utilities sectors.
David is an associate in our Intellectual Property Group based in London.
He has been involved in a broad range of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters in relation to patents, trade marks, passing off, copyright and breach of confidence. He has also worked on brand management matters for a number of clients, including advising an international media organisation on the management and enforcement of its global trade mark portfolio.
His litigation experience includes proceedings in the Patents Court and Court of Appeal, in addition to working on an international arbitration for a prominent global technology company.
Before training as a lawyer, David worked as a technology professional for a leading international investment bank. There he helped implement various software development projects to assist a number of local and multi-national corporate and government customers. These diverse technology industry experiences help David provide tailored, sector-focused legal advice to our clients.
David obtained an MEng in Computing from Imperial College London before completing his LLB at the College of Law, London.
