Claudia Bischoff, LL.M.

As a lawyer in our Technology & Communications Sector Group and our Data Protection & Privacy Practice Group in Frankfurt, I advise clients in all areas of data protection, IT and telecommunications law.

My spectrum of clients ranges from national and international companies in the private sector to legal entities under public law. Clients I advise are companies in the fields of Life Science & Health Care, Automotive, Manufacturing, IT & Telecommunication, Energy and Banking as well as legal entities under public law.

A focus of my work covers IT and data protection law advice in the context of new business models and digitisation projects, including the fields of Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, Internet of Things, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, I assist clients with the implementation of company-wide data protection management systems as well as the fulfilment of data protection law requirements in the area of group data protection, international data transfer and in the area of research and development projects.

In parallel to telecommunications law advice, another major focus of my work is on providing strategic advice in the event of regulatory or criminal investigations of companies in cases of data breaches and fine proceedings as well as data protection law litigation and disputes.

I regularly give lectures on data protection law topics and publish articles.

Before joining our firm, I worked in the digital law practice group of a major international law firm.

• I have been able to gain particular experience:
• Advising pharmaceutical companies on data protection law in connection with clinical trials,
• Advising an international car manufacturer, a large international tool manufacturer and a clinic group on data protection law as part of a company-wide data protection implementation project,
• Legal advice in cases of data breaches and in sector-specific data protection audits.
