Christian is specialized in advising clients from the life sciences sectors on matters at the overlap of IP, unfair competition and regulatory law.
Christian is a Counsel in our Munich office. He is a member of our Intellectual Property (IP) Practice Group as well as our Life Sciences and Retail & Consumer Sector Groups.
He advises clients in all fields of trademark, design and unfair competition law, but has a particular specialisation in advising clients from heavily regulated industries, most notably from the life sciences sector, but also from related sectors such as food & beverages and cosmetics. Christian is especially experienced in contentious and non-contentious matters at the overlap of IP – in particular unfair competition – and regulatory law such as in matters relating to the labelling, distribution and advertising of pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food supplements and other food products.
After his regular German law education and a seven months internship in Singapore, Christian acquired a postgraduate IP specific master’s degree in Dresden (Germany) and Seattle (US) before being admitted to the bar and joining Bird & Bird in 2011.
Christian is a member of the German Association for Industrial Property Protection and Copyrights (“Deutsche Vereinigung für Gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht (GRUR)”) as well as the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group.
