Cedric is known for his pragmatic approach to challenging situations and his deep understanding of the issues around insolvency.
Cedric is a senior associate in our Corporate and Commercial Practice, based in Brussels.
In addition to his work on corporate and contractual matters, he has gained extensive experience in dispute resolution, involving both court proceedings and arbitration, and insolvency law. Cedric also advises on risk mitigation and pre-trial strategies. His areas of expertise cover issues relating to financial difficulties and rescue or restructuring initiatives.
Cedric is the author of many articles in reputable legal journals and has written an extensive manual on liquidation proceedings ("De vereffeningsprocedure") under Belgian law. Prior to joining us in 2012, he worked in another Brussels law firm and taught various law courses at the University of Leuven (KUL).
Cedric completed his law studies at the University of Leuven (KUL) and was admitted to the Brussels bar in 2009. He also holds an additional Master’s degree in corporate law from the University of Brussels (HUB) and a postgraduate as liquidator/bankruptcy trustee.
He speaks Dutch, French and English and has an understanding of German and Russian.
