I have significant experience in corporate matters and M&A transactions, both in Italian and US law firms, and as general counsel of a leading financial group.

I am a partner admitted to practice in Italy and in New York State.

During my career, I have focused on corporate law matters, domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, M&A-related litigations, joint ventures and corporate governance issues.

Clients appreciate my commercial approach, interest for the business aspects and my capacity to find innovative solutions to complex issues.

Before joining Bird & Bird in 2020, I was general counsel of a leading financial group operating in Italy, the UK and Switzerland. This allowed me to gain extensive experience in the asset management and financial services sector, while developing the capability to look at issues and opportunities from the client's perspective.

Previously, I worked for more than 10 years at a top-tier Italian law firm, where I worked on an extensive number of national and international M&A transactions. I obtained an LL.M. degree from New York University School of Law in 2008 and worked for a year in New York as a visiting attorney at one of the most prestigious US law firms in the fields of M&A and M&A-related litigation.

• I advised the management of a leading financial group operating in Italy, the UK and Switzerland on the sale of the group to a major Swiss private bank
• I advised a major French bank on the acquisition of a retail banking network in Italy composed of approximately 200 retail banking branches
• I advised a primary French private equity fund on the acquisition of a majority stake in a world leader in the manufacturing of power transmission belts
• I advised a multinational utility company on the sale of the entire share capital of one of the leading Italian companies operating in the gas distribution business
• I advised a major US specialty chemicals company on litigation before the Delaware Court of Chancery, regarding the specific performance of the merger agreement concerning the acquisition of the same by a multinational chemical corporation
