Bird specialises in administrative law and regulatory disputes, with a focus on the Energy & Utilities sector.
Bird is an associate in our Regulatory Practice and is based in The Hague. She is also a member of our Energy & Utilities sector group.
Her experience includes giving legal advice on energy regulation, regulatory frameworks and general administrative law. She particularly focuses on the intersection between public and private law.
Bird holds a Bachelor’s (Hons) in Liberal Arts & Sciences (cum laude), a Bachelor’s in Law, a Master’s in Public International Law and a Master’s in Constitutional and Administrative Law from Utrecht University. She wrote her theses on the use of drones in international armed conflicts and on government liability for damages due to the gas extraction in the Dutch province of Groningen.
During her studies, Bird gained practical experience as a legal assistant at various companies. She also worked as a clerk to the district courts of Rotterdam and Middelburg. She completed internships at an international law firm and the district court of Den Bosch.
Bird is a member of the Dutch Administrative Law Association (VAR). She speaks Dutch, English, German and French.
