Benjamin specialises in the transport and logistics sectors and is a recognised expert in the field of cross-border financing and the collateralisation of mobile equipment.
Benjamin is an Of Counsel in our Banking & Finance practice group, based in Frankfurt.
He specialises in cross-border financing, especially the financing of mobile equipment, such as aircraft, railway rolling stock and ships. Benjamin is a member of the management committee of the Rail Working Group which is pursuing the implementation of a protocol for the rail industry to the 2001 Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment. Benjamin's practice also encompasses national and international transport, traffic and logistics law.
Before joining us, Benjamin worked as an in-house lawyer at KfW Bankengruppe in Frankfurt am Main, dealing with asset-based financing as well as general banking and banking supervision issues. He previously worked as a Principal Associate in the Frankfurt office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, where he specialising in asset and structured finance.
Benjamin is a Professor of German and international commercial and corporate law, finance and tax law at the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) in Heilbronn.
