Anna has outstanding experience when it comes to international and cross-border patent litigation, especially in the pharma and life sciences sector.
Anna is a partner in our German Intellectual Property Practice Group with a focus on patent and pharmaceutical law.
She advises national and international clients across various industry sectors, particularly in international patent disputes, including the coordination of multinational cases. The centre of her practice is patent litigation before the civil courts as well as the European Patent Office and the Federal Patent Court in cooperation with patent attorneys. With her extensive litigation experience she has represented clients in numerous central preliminary injunction proceedings. Anna also regularly advises her clients in pharmaceutical and contractual law, including advice on employee inventions. Many of her clients are from the Life Sciences sector.
Anna studied at the Universities of Hamburg and Bordeaux. She has been awarded a doctorate from the Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf. Anna’s thesis dealt with issues of patentability of human biotechnological inventions in Germany and Europe.
As faculty member of the Munich Intellectual Property Law Centre (MIPLC), Anna is a regular lecturer on international patent law. She is a member of the MIPLC’s Board of Trustees. Additionally, she is a member of the German Intellectual Property and Copyright Association (GRUR), the German Lawyer’s Association (DAV) and the US Federal Circuit Bar Association (FCBA). Anna is fluent in English and French.
