Anna Rak-Kozerska specialises in personal data protection issues, as well as civil, administrative and criminal proceedings.
Anna is an associate in our Privacy & Data Protection practice, based in Warsaw.
She has been advising clients since 2013, and specialises in privacy and data protection, eCommerce and trade secrets issues, as well as mergers and acquisitions. In particular, she advises on data protection, including proceedings before GIODO,the implementation of GDPR, international data transfers, personal data processing in marketing and distance sales. She also assists clients with matters related to personal rights infringements.
She has substantial experience in preparing strategy, submissions and representation in the course of court and arbitral proceedings (including international arbitral proceedings and investment arbitration) for clients from various sectors, such as pharmaceutical companies, banks, as well as companies from the biochemical and construction sector. She served as Secretary of the Arbitral Tribunal in arbitral disputes in the construction sector and on unfair competition in the retail chain sector.
In her practice, she often assists international clients, combining her German law background with her practical experience gained on the Polish market. Before joining us, she worked in local law firms in Warsaw.
Anna graduated from the Faculty of Law at University of Warsaw, and the School of German and European Law at the same university. She is an attorney-at-law with the Warsaw Bar Association.
She works in Polish, English and German.
